geez, and i thought flame of recca was underrated and unknown, but Ginga Nagareboshi Gin is even worse.
i recently came across a forum talking about GNG and got curious, so i looked around for it and found the first 3 manga scanlations (sadly the rest weren't ever scanlated) and i found it interesting so i checked out the anime on youtube and i gotta say that it's one of my favorite anime (maybe it's just because it's a series about dogs, they're hard to find). but yeah, here:
you can download the first 11 episodes here if you want direct downloads you have to join (it's free)
or you can watch the episodes on youtube like i did. all the episodes are there. it isn't a long series and you'll most likely be able to finish it in three days. one day if you watch nonstop (only 21 episodes).
btw, GNG is a shounen jump series, so if you like SJ series you'll most likely like this too
please don't judge the series by the first 6 episodes. GNG gets good after gin joins the wild dogs and the dogs finally start talking.
from wiki:
episode 01: part 1 | part 2 | part 3 (from this point i'm sure you'll find the rest of the episodes easily in the side bar.)
my favorites in the series are Gin, Akame, Ben, Cross, and Akatora.

Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin (ãyÑÀ¡«Á÷¤ìÐÇãy¡«, Ginga: Nagareboshi Gin lit. Silver Fang: Meteor Gin) is a 21-episode anime series. It is based on a manga of the same name created by Yoshihiro Takahashi. Takahashi was reportedly inspired by a news article about hunting dogs that had been abandoned by their masters and had begun living as wild animals. The manga originally appeared in Japan's Weekly Sh¨nen Jump, and won the Shogakukan Manga Award for best sh¨nen series in 1987.[1]
The anime tells the story of an Akita pup called Gin (Japanese for "silver") who leaves his master, a young boy named Daisuke, to join a pack of wild dogs. The pack is gathering strong dogs from all over Japan to fight a deranged bear named Akakabuto and his minions. The story begins from the point of view of the humans, but swings to the dogs with episode 7 of the anime. It is in that episode that the audience hears the dogs communicating with each other through speech, though it continues to be barks and whines to human ears.
The anime was made for Japanese television by Toei Animation, a studio famous for its Dragon Ball anime (which premiered two months earlier in Japan). In western countries the anime was released as a set of four VHS tapes, and censored for violent images. This led to the removal of several plot-critical scenes, including all footage from the episodes preceding the series finale as well as the deaths of certain characters. Due to limitations of sound-editing at the time this resulted in the background music of certain scenes to be lost.
